Just a few days from moving to a new job in the city, he is forced to rethink his plans after his pal, junkyard owner Amos Reed, played by John McIntyre, is murdered.

Scott agrees to adopt Amos’s super-slobbery dog Hooch, who proceeds to wreck his apartment.

But it turns out the huge Dogue de Bordeaux is Scott’s only lead to the killer, so they come to a truce.
